Software for the day your new site opens.
A website that takes bookings, the licence signed online and a Direct Debit set up at checkout, and a price you can work out before you call.
We set it all up for you: your units, your prices, your agreement. You pay nothing until you’re live.
Illustration: the size step of a customer’s booking. Pick a size to continue: 35 sq ft ground floor £96.00, 50 sq ft drive-up £126.00 (selected), 75 sq ft drive-up £168.00. Choose your move-in date: Monday 12 October. Prices a month, including VAT.
How a new site goes from empty to booked.
Customers book without a call.
- Customers see live availability and prices for each size.
- They choose a size and a move-in date, and StoreBay holds an available unit of that size.
- They sign the licence online, as part of the booking.
- They can pick a protection plan, billed with their licence fee.
- They pay by card, or set up a Direct Debit. A Direct Debit is collected afterwards, on a date the customer is emailed first.
- By default, they get a booking confirmation and a welcome email.

A Direct Debit is set up at checkout.
- At your online checkout, a customer chooses Direct Debit and is taken to GoCardless to set it up.
- They authorise on GoCardless’s own page, so there are no paper forms.
- Each invoice is then collected automatically.
Illustration: the payment method choice on a storage operator’s checkout. Direct Debit is selected and marked Recommended, with the note Automatic monthly collection. The other choice is Debit / credit card, with the note Pay now, then we collect monthly from this card automatically.
Take names before you open.
- Set a site to Coming soon and your website lists it with a Coming soon badge, and it takes no agreements until you open it.
- Every enquiry from your website lands on one board.
Illustration: an enquiries board with 2 calls due today, listing Sam Okafor, who asked about a 35 sq ft unit (call today); Hannah Price, who asked about a 100 sq ft unit (quote sent); Tom Hughes, who asked about a 50 sq ft unit (new).
What it costs, worked out.
- StoreBay is £63 +VAT a month including your first 50 units, then £0.48 +VAT a month for each unit after that. A 50-unit site pays £63 +VAT, a 100-unit site £87 +VAT and a 150-unit site £111 +VAT. The £63 +VAT applies even if you have fewer than 50 units. There is no setup fee, and no minimum term on monthly pricing.
- Before you build, work the numbers in the build cost calculator and the profitability calculator.
Questions about a new site.
No. Setting you up, and moving your data across from your current system, are part of the plan. You pay nothing until you’re live.
No. StoreBay hosts your website. Edit the words and photos yourself.
Direct Debit needs your own GoCardless account, and card payments need your own Stripe account. Checkout offers whichever you’ve connected.
We switch it on for each site once that site’s availability is accurate. Until then, visitors can ask for a quote.
