SiteLink alternatives for UK operators

Alongside SiteLink, we checked seven platforms sold to UK self storage operators: StoreBay, which wrote this page, then 6Storage, Kinnovis, Space Manager, Stora, Storeganise and Storman. The right one depends on why you are looking. SiteLink’s terms run month to month, and either side can end them on 15 days’ written notice, unless your Order Form or another agreement says otherwise. Checked 13 October 2026.

StoreBay wrote this page and is one of the seven. No platform paid to appear, and there are no affiliate links.

02 / Why compare

Why operators compare SiteLink

SiteLink is rated 4.7 from 452 reviews on Capterra UK as SiteLink Web Edition, dated between 2014 and 2025. It publishes no price list, so most of what an operator weighs is in its FAQ, its pages and its terms of service on Storable’s website, which are set out first. All were read on 13 October 2026.

What SiteLink’s own pages and terms say

  1. 01

No price list: a one-time fee and a monthly subscription for each software licence

We found no price list on SiteLink’s website, and sitelink.com/pricing answers with an error page. Its FAQ says a nominal one-time fee and a monthly subscription apply to each software licence, with no add-on fees for features, and that most operators need one licence per location, though some run several stores on one. Its terms say your Order Form sets the fees, the term and the payment terms. Capterra UK’s listing shows a starting price in US dollars, which we do not print.

  2. 02

Month to month unless your Order Form says otherwise, and several wordings of the notice

The term of your services is set in your Order Form, and SiteLink’s terms say that if it sets none otherwise, they are, and renew, month to month. Unless an Order Form or another agreement says otherwise, either side can end the agreement, or any single product in a bundle, at any time on 15 days’ written notice. Written notice of non-renewal must go to the company at the address in the terms or on your Order Form. Its FAQ says users go month to month and never have to sign a long-term contract, its Storable product page says you are free to cancel at any time, and Storable’s support page, in its paragraph on selling a facility, says it requires 10 days’ advance notice to cancel any product before the next billing date. Ask which applies to you, in writing.

  3. 03

When your Order Form and its general terms differ: which wins

Clause 13.15 of SiteLink’s general terms says that where they conflict with an Order Form or another written agreement, “such Order Form (or other written agreement) will take precedence with regard to your rights and obligations with respect to the Services”. Clause 13.9 says that where there is a conflict between “these General Terms of Service and any Order Form or Additional Terms of Service, the terms of this Master Service Agreement shall prevail, to the extent of such conflict”, and the terms mention the Master Service Agreement nowhere else. Ask which your Order Form follows, and keep a signed copy.

  4. 04

A fee can rise after the first term, and its terms can change on notice

Unless your Order Form says otherwise, SiteLink’s terms let it increase fees at its discretion after the initial term stated in your Order Form, on prior notice to you. It can amend or update its terms from time to time on notice through the Storable Edge management software, by email or otherwise, and your continued use of the services counts as agreeing to the amended terms.

  5. 05

Invoices, a 30-day cure period and interest

Its terms make service fees due on the date of the invoice, within the payment terms in your Order Form. If you fail to pay on time it will notify you, and you then have a 30-day cure period to bring your account up to date, after which it may end your access. It can engage a collections agency, and you would then pay the costs of collection, including reasonable attorneys’ and agency fees, plus interest at the lesser of 1.50% per month or the maximum rate the law permits.

  6. 06

Your data is yours; its FAQ and its terms say what happens to it when you leave

SiteLink’s FAQ says you own your data and that it does not share it, and that, if you stop using it, it will remove your data from the SiteLink cloud unless you ask it to archive it for you. Its terms say you keep ownership of your data, and that it may use data stored on its servers anonymously for its own internal business purposes, including publishing operating data in an aggregated, deidentified form in industry benchmark reports. They also say that once the agreement ends it may deactivate the services straight away and has no obligation to keep your data or to let you retrieve it; that, unless it ended the agreement for cause, you may use any post-termination assistance it generally makes available; and that it need not return or destroy copies made by its automatic archiving and backups where removing them is not technically reasonable. So ask for a full export before you give notice.

  7. 07

Where it is based, and where its servers are

SiteLink Software, LLC, the company its terms name, says it is a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Storable, Inc., which its privacy policy places in Austin, TX. SiteLink’s FAQ says all development, and support for the Americas, Europe and Africa, is in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA, and support for Australia, Asia and the Near East is in Brisbane, Australia. It says SiteLink is maintained on its own servers in data centres, and we found no page that says in which country they are. Its privacy policy says personal information may be transferred to, stored in or accessed from countries other than the one you are in, including the United States.

  8. 08

    Texas law, and binding arbitration

SiteLink’s terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and all claims are resolved by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association’s rules rather than in court, except that you may bring a claim in small claims court if it is within that court’s original jurisdiction. For any hearing held in person, the terms set Austin, Texas or, if the consumer arbitration rules apply, another place reasonably convenient to both sides.

  9. 09

Support hours in UK time, and what is included

SiteLink’s FAQ gives support hours for the Americas, Europe and Africa as Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5), with after-hours support 7 days a week. Storable’s support page lists SiteLink support as Monday to Friday, 8AM to 8PM ET, and Saturday and Sunday, 9AM to 6PM ET, by phone or email, with a separate address for API support. Eastern time is usually five hours behind the UK, so 8AM to 8PM ET is 1pm to 1am in the UK, and 7am to 7pm at GMT-5, the zone its FAQ names, is midday to midnight GMT. Its FAQ says unlimited phone support, service and training are part of the product, and its terms say it will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide reasonable and basic technical support at no additional charge once your fees are paid.

  10. 10

A Windows program, and myHub in a browser

Storable’s SiteLink page offers Sitelink Web Edition as a download for Windows 10 and Windows 11, which installs the Web Edition software and the Corporate Control Center. It describes myHub as browser-based, giving access to the same server database as Web Edition on a tablet, smartphone, PC or Mac, and SiteLink’s FAQ says myHub runs in all browsers, though it recommends Google Chrome and Microsoft browsers. Storable’s 2026 announcement of a platform refresh says it is bringing capabilities from Sitelink Desktop into myHub, so ask which of them your day-to-day tasks need today.

  11. 11

Card and ACH/EFT payments through partners; Bacs Direct Debit is not named

SiteLink’s pages name card and ACH/EFT bank draft payments, and we found no public evidence of Bacs Direct Debit. Its terms say payments is an optional feature, with payment processing provided by its partner providers, Stripe and Payrix, under their own terms, and a page on its website says SiteLink Merchant Services is a registered ISO of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.

  12. 12

An API for you and its vetted partners, and a separate agreement for others

SiteLink’s pages say its API gives third-party vendors, with your permission, access to your data, and that your in-house developers or its vetted third-party partners can use it. Its terms say the data exchange interface is provided for your own internal use, that any use by a third party, or to build a commercial product, needs a separate agreement, and that no third party counts as integrated unless one is in place. We found no public API documentation or webhooks on the pages we read.

  13. 13

sitelink.com is moving to Storable’s website

SiteLink’s home page says its logins, integrations, tech and billing support are on the new Storable website, and that sitelink.com will be redirected there in the coming months. The same page says the Sitelink platform “isn’t going anywhere” and that “We’re fully committed to its performance, reliability, and continued growth.” The most recent release its own news page lists is dated October 2018, and Storable’s news page carries the newer announcements.

What changed at SiteLink

A selection, not every item on their news pages: the rule that chose these is under How we compared.

  • On 8 September 2026 Storable’s news page announced the appointment of a chief executive of Storable.
  • On 12 March 2026 Storable announced, for the 30th anniversary of Sitelink, a refreshed look and navigation across all versions of Sitelink, and said it was bringing tasks and letters management, reservation form printing and CRM events from Sitelink Desktop into myHub, its browser-based interface, with these updates beginning to roll out through summer 2026. It also said Storable is committed to its continued evolution.
  • Its terms of service page says its current terms are effective for all users as of 8 October 2025.
  • On 10 February 2023 Storable and Prorize announced an integration of Prorize’s revenue management with Storable’s property management platforms, Sitelink and StorEDGE, so that operators can pass data and rates between them.
  • On 17 November 2021 Storable announced a new access control product, to configure and manage access control points from within SiteLink and storEDGE software.
  • On 22 January 2021 Storable’s news page announced that EQT had made an investment in Storable to become its lead investor, alongside its existing investors, Cove Hill Partners, and its management team.
  • SiteLink’s own FAQ says that SiteLink and SpareFoot were acquired by Cove Hill Partners on 13 April 2018.

What SiteLink’s reviews say

All 452 of SiteLink’s reviews on Capterra UK were read and counted for what each says it likes and would change. A theme is printed when two or more reviews show it, and praise and requests for change sit side by side.

What reviewers praise

  • 239 of 452 reviews say it is easy to use or quick to learn
  • 222 of 452 reviews praise the support or the team
  • 40 of 452 reviews praise how it works with other software, payments or access control
  • 37 of 452 reviews praise the automation or the time it saves
  • 37 of 452 reviews say the product keeps getting new features or listens to feedback
  • 34 of 452 reviews praise how it shows what is happening in the business
  • 34 of 452 reviews praise how it collects payments and handles contracts
  • 15 of 452 reviews say it was quick or simple to set up
  • 10 of 452 reviews say it is good value or cheaper than the alternatives
  • 6 of 452 reviews praise online booking or the built-in website

What reviewers would change

  • 70 of 452 reviews name a feature they say is missing
  • 17 of 452 reviews ask for more or better reporting
  • 10 of 452 reviews ask for another or a better integration
  • 2 of 452 reviews ask for more website editing or search-optimisation options
  • 2 of 452 reviews say part of it is hard to use on a phone
  • Shown by one review each, so counted but not listed: 0 praise and 1 would-change themes.
  • 55 of 452 reviews said there was nothing to change.
  • 160 of the 452 reviews have no text in the cons box, so nothing they would change is counted. Of the 292 that do, 55 say there is nothing to change and 237 name something they would change, and 173 of those 237 name something that fits none of the 18 themes. The themes have no place for a complaint about the quality of support, about how the software behaves or looks, or about price, so these are counted and not listed, and the themes above are not everything reviewers would change.
  • The 452 reviews run from 5 April 2014 to 31 May 2025, so 368 of them are more than five years old. 436 of them are more than three years old.
  • SiteLink answered 352 of the 452 reviews in public: 352 of the 353 dated 2018 or earlier, and 0 of the 99 dated 2019 or later.
  • The reviews are not spread evenly over the years: 353 are dated 2014 to 2018, 16 are dated 2019 to 2021 and 83 are dated 2022 or later.
  • Of the 223 reviews dated before May 2018, 65 have text in the cons box, against 227 of the 229 dated May 2018 or later. So the counts of what reviewers would change rest mostly on the newer reviews, and this page does not set the counts for the older and newer reviews side by side. Reviews are not a sample of a vendor’s customers.

StoreBay is new and has no public reviews yet, so we have none to set beside these.

03 / When to stay

When staying on SiteLink makes sense

SiteLink’s own pages and listings show the strengths below, and StoreBay does not match some of them. If one is the reason you chose SiteLink, staying may suit you better than moving. Whichever way you lean, ask for your Order Form and your latest fee notice in writing first.

Choose SiteLink if

  • You want access control built into your management software
  • You need SOC 1 and PCI DSS Level 1 certification today
  • You want unlimited phone support, and help 7 days a week

More that SiteLink’s own pages and listings show in its favour

A long record, and public reviews

SiteLink was founded in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1996, and is rated 4.7 from 452 reviews on Capterra UK as SiteLink Web Edition, checked 13 October 2026. StoreBay is new and has no public reviews yet.

An API and 61 partners

SiteLink’s API gives your in-house developers or vetted third-party vendors access to your data, with your permission, and SiteLink has 61 Marketplace partners. StoreBay’s API and webhooks are included in the plan.

04 / What to check

What to check in any SiteLink alternative

  1. 01

Which SiteLink you run, and which company your Order Form names

Ask whether your sites run Sitelink Web Edition, the Windows program, or myHub in a browser, and what you can do in each today: Storable’s pages describe both and say capabilities are moving from the first to the second. Then check the company your Order Form names against the one in its terms, SiteLink Software, LLC.

  2. 02

The term, the notice and the fee change in your Order Form

Find the term, the notice and the fee-change wording in your Order Form first: SiteLink’s terms let the Order Form set them, and its pages give several wordings of the notice. StoreBay’s pricing page, for comparison, says the monthly plan has no minimum term and ends at the end of the month you cancel, and the 12-month plan is a 12-month commitment.

  3. 03

Your licences and payments, line by line

Take your latest SiteLink invoice and your Order Form. List each software licence and site, any one-time fee, each product or partner service billed beside it and the date each renews, and ask every platform to price the same list, with VAT shown separately. SiteLink’s terms make you responsible for sales, use, value added and similar taxes on the transactions the agreement covers, so ask how VAT is dealt with on your invoices.

  4. 04

Who holds your card and bank-draft payments

SiteLink’s pages name card and ACH/EFT bank draft payments, and its terms name Stripe and Payrix as its payment processors. Ask in writing whose merchant account and whose saved cards or bank details are behind your customers’ payments today, and whether they can move. We found nothing in its terms about moving saved cards, tokens or payment mandates.

  5. 05

Your exact gate system, and the lock-out

Write down your gate or lock system, then check it against each platform’s list. SiteLink’s pages say Access Control by Storable is built into its software and can lock out late payers and let them back in once they pay, and that it works with partners such as OpenTech Alliance, PTI and BearBox. Its terms say it is only a distributor of access control equipment and does not manufacture or install it.

  6. 06

Support hours in your time zone, and the level

Work out when you could reach support in UK time, and ask what level your Order Form gives. SiteLink’s FAQ and Storable’s support page give different hours, both in US Eastern time, and its terms describe basic technical support at no additional charge while its FAQ says unlimited phone support is included.

  7. 07

Where your data goes, and how it comes back

Ask where your data is held, how it comes back when you leave and in what format. SiteLink’s FAQ says it will remove your data from its cloud unless you ask it to archive it, its terms say it need not keep your data once the agreement ends, and its privacy policy says personal information may be stored in countries other than yours, including the United States. We found no page that says in which country its servers are. Check VAT invoices and licence-to-occupy wording in whatever you move to.

  8. 08

Your website, and which company runs it

If your website comes with SiteLink, ask whose contract covers it, where the domain is registered and whether the site moves with you. SiteLink’s pages say it includes a free ecommerce website, and that its API is used to build websites with online payments, reservations and account management. A website that is not tied to your management software is easier to keep through a move.

  9. 09

If you stay with Storable, which product and which terms

If your reason for leaving is the product and not the company, ask about Storable’s other management software. Its Edge page says Edge is fully functional right out of the box, and sets it beside Sitelink, which it describes for highly customizable workflows, and both pages answer yes when asked whether you can transfer your existing data and business information if you switch. Ask for the notice, the price and the terms of the product you would move to in writing before you give notice on this one.

05 / The alternatives

SiteLink alternatives, by situation

Listed by situation, never ranked. StoreBay comes first only because it wrote the page; the others follow in alphabetical order. Each of the four situations below is one where we did not find a full match on SiteLink’s own pages, so another platform may fit better there; they are not the only reasons to move. All eight platforms were checked for every situation, and a platform is listed under one only when its own pages support it.

Leaving SiteLink: notice, data, payments and cutover

The order below keeps your data, your payments and your customers safe. Check each step against your own Order Form and the terms it names.

  1. 01

Read your Order Form, then the terms

SiteLink’s terms make the term the one your Order Form sets, then month to month, and either side can end them at any time on 15 days’ written notice unless an Order Form or another agreement says otherwise. Storable’s support page, in its paragraph on selling a facility, says 10 days before the next billing date, and its product page says you are free to cancel at any time. Find the term and the notice in your Order Form before you do anything else.

  2. 02

Give notice in the way it asks, and keep proof

Its terms say written notice of non-renewal must go to the company at the address in the terms or on your Order Form, and Storable’s support page, under selling a facility, says to fill out a cancellation form. Ask in writing which route it accepts from the UK, use it, and keep proof of how and when you sent it.

  3. 03

Line the cutover up with a billing date

Storable’s support page, in its paragraph on selling a facility, asks for 10 days’ advance notice before the next billing date, and the terms make fees payable on the date of the invoice. Where you can, plan the move so the last invoice you pay covers the last month you need, and remember that, unless your Order Form says otherwise, SiteLink can raise a fee on notice after the first term.

  4. 04

Export your data first, then settle the last invoice

SiteLink’s terms say that once the agreement ends it may deactivate the services straight away and need not let you retrieve your data. Ask in writing, before you give notice, for a full export in the format your new platform needs, and keep a copy of your reports. Settle the last invoice: if an account stays unpaid after the 30-day cure period it may end your access.

  5. 05

Keep the records the law requires

HMRC expects you to keep business records for VAT for at least 6 years. Keep signed agreements, invoices and payment records for that long, including any held only in SiteLink.

  6. 06

Card and bank-draft payments: ask who holds them, and plan the move to Bacs

SiteLink’s pages name card and ACH/EFT bank draft payments, its terms name Stripe and Payrix as processors, and we found no public evidence of Bacs Direct Debit. Find out how each of your customers pays today, and whose account each payment sits in. Ask SiteLink and its payment processor in writing whether saved cards can move to a new provider, and plan for any customer whose card cannot. If your new platform collects Bacs Direct Debit and some of your customers already pay that way through GoCardless, GoCardless says a bulk change to another provider needs both sponsor banks to authorise it, comes with a pre-filled deed to complete, and can take 3-5 weeks; another provider’s process may differ. Plan the switch so no customer is charged twice or misses a month.

  7. 07

Gate codes: switch off the old access link

Note which gate or lock system you run and where its codes are kept. SiteLink’s pages say Access Control by Storable is built in and can lock out late payers and let them back in once they pay. At cutover, disconnect SiteLink from your gate system, so only one system changes who can get in.

  8. 08

    Website and booking links

If your site is a SiteLink or partner website, or uses SiteLink’s payment and reservation pages, find every link that opens a booking page and redirect each to the new booking pages. Ask whose account holds your domain and its hosting before you cancel anything, and update your Google Business Profile, ads and email links. SiteLink’s own address is also moving to Storable’s website, so check any bookmark or link that points at it.

  9. 09

    Switch off the old automation

SiteLink’s pages list automatic past-due notices, calls and text messages through its Marketplace partners, and a robo call when a new lead arrives. On cutover day, turn off anything the old system or its partners still send or charge: autopay collections, past-due notices, text messages, lead calls and lock-outs. Finish with a cutover-day checklist that covers payments, access, your website and your emails.

  10. 10

If you stay with Storable, ask what changes

If you move to another Storable product, ask for its Order Form, notice and price in writing, and read the terms for that product as well as these. Its Edge page answers yes when asked whether you can transfer your existing data and business information if you switch, and sets Edge, described as fully functional right out of the box, beside Sitelink, described for highly customizable workflows.

  11. 11

    Keep your own copy

Download the reports, invoices and records you want to keep before your account closes.

Moving from SiteLink to StoreBay

  • We bring your records across

Your customers, units and agreements come across in a guided import that our team runs with you.

  • You check before anything is saved

Every import runs as a dry run first, so you see exactly what will be created before anything is saved.

  • Payment details are planned separately

Saved cards and Direct Debit instructions don’t come across in the import. We plan that part with you before you switch.

09 / Questions

SiteLink alternatives: common questions

There is no single best one. Alongside SiteLink we checked seven platforms: StoreBay, 6Storage, Kinnovis, Space Manager, Stora, Storeganise and Storman. The right choice depends on your gate system, how you want to be billed and whether you want a published price. Checked 13 October 2026.

10 / How we compared

How we compared, and our sources

What we read

On 13 October 2026 we read the public pages of SiteLink, of Storable, which owns it, and of the seven other platforms in a browser, all on the same day, and kept a dated copy of each page. Whatever this page says about another platform comes from that platform’s public pages, its terms or a public register, except its reviews, which come from Capterra UK.

How its terms were read

SiteLink’s terms are the SiteLink By Storable Terms of Service on Storable’s website, which say they are effective for all users from the date printed above. They are general terms, and your Order Form is part of the agreement, so read both: an older contract may carry different terms. We read the terms as they stand and do not interpret them, and where its clauses differ we say so.

How prices were read

SiteLink publishes no price list that we found, so this page prints none, and estimates none. What it says about how it charges comes from its own FAQ. Where this page prints another platform’s price, it is the price that platform publishes.

How reviews were counted

All 452 of SiteLink’s Capterra UK reviews were counted against a fixed list of 18 themes, which StoreBay wrote. Two separate AI passes labelled each review and differed on some, a third AI read settled each difference and read the reviews whose only praise is a very short line, and a script checks that the words each label rests on appear in its review. Praise is taken from a review’s overall and pros text and requests for change from its cons text, so praise written in a title or in the cons box, and a complaint written in a title or in the overall text, are not counted, and a would-change comment that fits none of the themes is counted separately and not listed. A theme is printed when two or more reviews show it; 0 praise and 1 would-change themes shown by one review each are counted but not listed. We do not quote reviewers.

How events are written

Events are printed only where Storable’s or SiteLink’s own pages state them, in neutral words and with their date. Of the items on Storable’s three news pages we printed the three whose headline or summary names Sitelink, and the two that announce a new investor or a new chief executive; we added SiteLink’s own statement of when it was acquired, and the date its terms say they took effect. We left out every other item, which names Sitelink in neither, and give no reasons, deal values or names of individuals.

Changes since the last check

None: first published 13 October 2026.

“No public evidence” is not “no”

When we can’t find something on a vendor’s public pages, we say exactly that and nothing stronger.
