01 / Why we exist

Storage software kept score. We wanted it to move revenue.

StoreBay started from a simple observation: UK self-storage has already digitised the basics — online booking and CCTV are close to universal — but websites that actually win the booking, and admin that runs itself, are still the next real gains.

StoreBay is built and run by a small, senior team — founder Phil McParlane working with Claude Code as an engineering partner — rather than a large existing company, on purpose. It keeps the product honest about what’s actually shipped versus what’s still on the roadmap.
